Darryl started his comedy career in Baltimore, MD in 1988, and toured full-time from 1990 to 1997. He headlined and featured in clubs all across the US and Canada. In 1997, he started working in morning radio in San Diego, continuing to do stand up when his schedule allowed. After doing radio in large and small markets, Darryl left the airwaves in 2006 to work for ACN, the American Comedy Network. ACN provided short-form audio comedy for approximately 300 radio stations throughout the US and Canada. Starting as a staff writer, in 2008 Darryl became the head writer for the service and served as the head writer until ACN was closed in 2013.
Now Darryl returns to the stage with a hilarious and smart stand-up act that is primarily topical/social commentary, hitting on everything from politics to sports to pop culture -- with a point of view not often found in stand-up comedy. He appeared on Comedy Central’s “Stand Up, Stand Up” in 1994. He has performed with Patton Oswalt, Dave Chappelle, Louis CK, Tim Allen, Drew Carey, Lewis Black and has made many appearances on radio stations all over the country.
