Sara Best in Latino Comedy

 

 

Sara, a 28-year standup comedy veteran, is currently staging her second one-woman show “F.R.E.A.K. of Nature: the Last of the Baby Boomers.” One of Showtime’s 2008 Original Latin Divas of Comedy (ALMA-nominated for Best Comedy Special), Sara performed for the troops in Iraq and Kuwait in 2011 and toured as the opening act for the iconic salsa band El Gran Combo De Puerto Rico in 2022 for their 60th-anniversary world tour. She was selected as one of the 22 top Comedians to watch in 2022 and #6 overall of the top 12 Latinx comedians in 2023. And most recently, she was honored by the N.Y.P.D. Hispanic Society as a trailblazing N.Y.C. comedian.

Sara was a featured radio personality for the WRKS 98.7 Kiss Morning Show and a featured comedian for nationally syndicated radio personality Luis Jimenez, as well as appearing on The View, the Wendy Williams show, Law & Order: SVU, Mozart in the Jungle, All My Chlldren, and several prime-time television shows in Puerto Rico. She’s opened for Charlie Murphy, Felipe Esparza, Paul Rodriguez, Carlos Mencia, and Pablo Francisco.
